Walking through Plaza Real is to step into one of the most refined urban projects of the 19th century in Barcelona. Designed by architect Francesc Daniel Molina on the site of the former Capuchin convent of Santa Madrona, the square was conceived under a homogeneous neoclassical aesthetic, inspired by European noble squares.
